The 10th Annual PrimeTime Sports Conference occurred in Toronto, Canada November 12-14, 2017. As a proud corporate partner of the event, the attorneys at Perelmuter Law participated in the conference which was held at the beautiful Westin Harbour Castle Hotel overlooking Great Lake Ontario.
Perelmuter Law’s lawyers attended all three days of the conference meeting with sports industry leaders such as Gary Bettman, Commissioner of the NHL; Brian Burke, President of Hockey Operations for the Calgary Flames; and Peter Luukko, Co-Chairman of the Arena & Stadium Alliance. The conference attracted over 600 attendees and included a wide range of speakers from the NHL, NBA, NFL and more.
Perelmuter Law’s corporate partnership status provided its lawyers with a great opportunity to meet and learn from sports industry leaders. Additionally, our lawyers were virtually always engaged in conversations regarding the many US immigration issues many athletes face and were able to provide ideas for creative solutions for numerous individuals.
Professional athletes often obtain temporary work visas instead of getting the more comprehensive immigration service they need and deserve. The conference allowed Perelmuter Law’s lawyers to make connections within the sports industry giving them the opportunity to assist more athletes secure permanent immigration solutions. And of course, our lawyers couldn’t be surrounded by hockey industry leaders for three days without landing some free tickets!
